Chef Carved Ham Pad Thai

Difficulty Level

Cook Time

  • 1/2 lb Dietz & Watson™ Honey Cured Dinner Ham or {dw} Chef Carved Ham, sliced into 1-inch squares
  • 1 lb rice sticks
  • 3 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • pinch minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned yellow onion
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned zucchini
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned yellow squash
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup oyster soy sauce
  • 3-4 Tbsp Sriracha hot sauce (depending on your taste)
  • - Salt and Freshly ground white pepper to taste

  1. 1 Cook the rice sticks according to the instructions on the package, just until al dente. Drain and reserve.
  2. 2 Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Toss in the garlic and ginger and sauté until golden.
  3. 3 Add the vegetables and cook, stirring constantly, until al dente.
  4. 4 Stir in the ham, oyster soy sauce, rice sticks and sriracha, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it out with a bit of chicken stock.
  5. 5 Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. 6 Chef’s Note: This is a great way to use up ham left over from the holidays, and certainly more interesting than the typical ham sandwich!
