ingredients

  • 1 Package of Dietz & Watson Originals Italian Style Chicken Sausage, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of Dietz & Watson Originals Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 14 oz Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • Basil, to taste
  • Oregano, to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 8 ounces of Dry Penne Pasta, uncooked

directions

  1. Fill large sauce pot with water, a little salt, and bring to a boil.
  2. While waiting for water to boil, heat large skillet over medium high heat with 2 tbsp of extra virgin oil.
  3. Add sliced D&W Italian Style Chicken Sausage and cook for about 3 minutes.
  4. Add diced onions, chopped garlic and oregano.
  5. Stir to incorporate, and cook for an additional 2 minutes until garlic and onions are sweat down.
  6. Add decided tomatoes and tomato sauce, lower heat to medium and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add pasta to water and cook according to instructions on box.
  8. Once finished cooking, drain pasta and add to skillet.
  9. Stir to incorporate all ingredients and finish with basil and parmesan cheese.
